Our linen

The real beauty of linen: natural, authentic, imperfect.

At Tejidos Bages we work with a living material: linen. And like everything from nature, it isn't perfect — nor does it aim to be.

A living material

Our product is natural, which means embracing its essence.

Linen is a plant fibre that doesn't standardise like synthetics. Every fabric carries the memory of its process and of the field it came from.

  • ·Small irregularities in the weave
  • ·Subtle variations in the yarn
  • ·Slight changes in tone or texture

Why they exist

The natural process of linen, step by step.

01

The fibre

May vary in thickness — it comes from the stem of a living plant.

02

The yarn

Is never completely homogeneous; it reflects the character of the original fibre.

03

The fabric

Mirrors that naturalness in its structure, with a living, unmistakable texture.

"These traits aren't defects — they are the fingerprint of a natural origin and a respectful process."

Textile standards

What's accepted in natural fibres.

International textile standards — especially for natural fibres like linen, cotton or wool — consider the following normal:

  • Slight irregularities in the yarn or fabric
  • Knots or occasional structural variations
  • Subtle colour shifts across the piece
  • Minor non-structural marks that don't affect use or durability

A conscious choice

Choosing linen is choosing character. Choosing nature.

Choosing linen means embracing an honest material — one that ages well, evolves and tells a story. It isn't a defect: it's character. At Tejidos Bages we stand for real beauty, where every piece is unique.
